Nobody told me about no bar. |
I just assumed that with alcohol available, that's where people would wind up. Here's the place - Jimmy's on First. You done been told. _________________ Roger on Meant to be |

Friday night, 5-9PM:
Snoqualmie Falls Taproom.
8032 Falls Avenue Southeast Snoqualmie, WA 98065
(425) 831-2357
Those riding in the van should meet no later than 4:20 PM near the NW corner of the parking lot on the North end of Century Link Field. We plan on departing at 4:20PM! Info on this event can be found in this thread. The cost for the catered food is $15/head. Drinks are available at your own expense. We'll have a few door prizes. The current list of attendees is at this link.
Sat. night chinese dinner, 6-8PM
Four Seas
Address: 714 South King Street, Seattle, WA 98104
Phone:(206) 682-4900
There's some parking nearby the restaurant. They have a lots just to the east of them and a small lot connected to the restaurant. It's about 1/2 mile from the north end of Century Link Field to the restaurant (a 13 min walk according to Google). Unless it's raining cats and dogs, I plan on walking there from the boat show. The cost is $15/head + 18% gratuity. More info on this event is at this link.
The current list of attendees is at this link.
Those of us staying at the hotel will likely meet in the AM for the breakfast there and probably will be hanging out in the bar in the evenings so there will be some opportunities for informal gatherings also. I plan on wandering around at the boat show most of Sat. and Sunday AM. |
One more thing - Don't forget that our own Sam Landsman will be giving a presentation on his Alaska trip on Friday night! |

So far the only C-Dory at the Boat Show is the 23' C-Dory Venture at Wayoint/Triton along with three SeaSports and some inflatables, it looks like there is still room for one more boat. _________________ Greg, Nancy & Lizzie |

Master Marine has a nice looking 22 Cruiser in their booth with a Yamaha 115 motor on it. _________________ Matt Gurnsey

C-Dory at Master Marine, thanks Matt, I was going to post that but didn't know the exhibitor and I keep walking by your booth looking at your kicker motors at Kitsap. Have a great show. |

We set up an album for this years SBS fest. There is a sub-album already created in side of it for pictures of the Tap Room evening if you're of a mind to put them in there.
It looks like I won't be making it up there this year. Have a blast and do us proud! _________________ TyBoo Mike

Oh and thanks for the photo album. Any chance you can create a sub album for photos of boats at the show? |

Those of us still left here Saturday night had a nice dinner at the Four Seas Chinese Restaurant. Not much left now but checking out! We brought Starbucks Via and one of those silly little electric immersion heaters from the 1960s - works great, and still tastes MUCH better than hotel coffee in those stupid little two cup pots. Nice to be close to the Boat Show, but I kind of miss the large meeting room where we all could hang and chat, and the free breakfasts that used to be included! Overall, we owe Rogerbum a big "thank you" for his work on putting things together for us this year, including arranging the hotel, the transportation for Friday night, and the Saturday night dinner out! I would say a successful CBGT / SBS, looking forward to seeing Ruth's pix!
The Venture 23 at Waypoint Boats was way cool, the interior has been pared back to a more minimalist look, and the blue hull and new badge on the bow give it a very distinctive look. The price differential between the Venture 23 and the CD22 has also gotten a lot less, so I think the Venture 23 will become the new C-Dory standard. I think we will see a C-Dory presence, either Waypoint Boats or hopefully the current owners (the Wright family, which ironically formerly owned Sea Sport before the Lindhouts) at Friday Harbor in May.

Boat Show Attendees:
Sorry for my non-appearance at the activities, but the following excerpt from an email I sent to Roger this morning will help explain:
Roger- I got to the Silver Cloud Thursday night at 9pm and promptly went to bed (Rm 434). First thing Friday morning, my wife calls me and tells me 95 year old mother has fallen at her rest home and is not doing well, so I immediately converted my return ticket to Friday instead of Sunday and re-boarded the train and left for home at 9:45 am. Sorry, but I didn't have time to make all the communications, and, although I have a cell phone, it's not a smart phone and I didn't have any of the connecting numbers with me. Please send me a note with the amount I owe for the various rides and functions I missed, and I'll promptly send you a check (or checks) to cover it. Sorry for the communication screw-up. BTW: we think we're with the last day or so right now with my mom. Joe.
Thanks to Roger and Tom for organizing this year's event! Hope everyne had a good time!
Joe. _________________ Sea Wolf, C-Brat #31

Joe - you don't owe us any money. Sorry to hear about your mother in law and the need to return back to California earlier than expected. Hope everything turns out OK with the mom-in-law. We missed you but hope to see you sometime in the not too distant future (or next year's boat show). If I do this again, I'll get phone numbers from people by PM and provide mine so we can communicate more clearly. BTW - you missed a great presentation by Sam at the Taproom. |
