|
|
After looking at ideas for the last year I finally picked up a great way to improve the splash well from Rick, (416rigby) and make it in to a fish and bait box. I never liked the stern open like it was as I've had water follow me in with a following sea. Not a lot but enough that I didn't like it.
Well problem solved. Made of aluminum and painted to match the boat. I had a boat builder out of Medford Oregon custom build the box for me. Drains in the bottom of both boxes the hose off to the outside of the boat. NO CLEANUP I can still tilt both motors full tilt without hitting the box. Here is a picture of the final product. I will upload a few more to my album.
Thanks Rick for the great idea.

That is a great looking box you have there. Its well thought out and looks very useful. Was it powder coated? Have you thought about adding insulation? _________________ Thomas J Elliott

Wow, nice! Do you think your fabricator might be interested in making more? If so, perhaps you could share the name of the business/person. That looks sweet! (Suddenly I want one ) |

Fish-rite In Medford Oregon built the box for me. They do quality work. I had them build a couple boats for me over the years.
I use the fish side to bleed the fish and than use a fish bag to hold them.

Dude! That's freakin' sweet! If the guy saved the plans I bet he will sell quite a few of them. Very well thought out design. What did it end up costing ya?
For the record, I based my design on several others I saw...the real credit goes to this great community of sharing ideas.
Bravo

That's for sure Rick. We are all lucky to have such a great community to draw from.
The boxes are top quality but very expensive. $800.00 out the door.

That's some nice work. Do you think a single 90 would be able to tilt all the way up? _________________ Jody Kidd
