Les,
Wishing you a really safe and profitable trip. Those thousand milers are long days. Remember, if you get sleepy on the freeway, the safest place to stop is on the on-ramp side of an exit. Take the off ramp, up and over and start down the on ramp side, and pull over there. Safe from getting tail ended, safer from being seen, and quieter than the truck stop.
See you when we do,
Harvey

Rich, I have seen all the pics of Betty Ann. Nice boat.
My mistake I assumed Les was delivering the beige one out east.
I followed the construction photos on Facebook of M1 and was hoping for pics of M2.
Les I know you are probably to busy to keep posting construction pics. and I am fine with that.
Anyway I will keep following the site, the M245 is exciting also.
All the best.

Hi Stefan,
Ah! I got it now, thanks for the explanation. Nothing has been happening on the tan boat for the last few weeks so I haven't had more photos to post yet. I've been waiting because there's a chance that it's a sold hull and I want the buyer to be able to make choices before the boat is too far along.
Thanks for asking!

If you don't have a compelling reason to take I-70, don't. I-70 from Glenwood Springs to Denver is beautiful but can be a tough drive in a car, let alone a truck towing a boat. It's curvy and hilly and filled with bad drivers who tailgate, drive way over the speed limit, weave through the traffic, etc. I drive I-70 regularly to get to the ski mountains, and I've grown to really hate it.
I-80 through Wyoming is much better, in my opinion. Relatively little traffic, straight roads, and way fewer steep grades. If it's snowy, both I-70 and I-80 will be bad, but this winter has been exceptionally mild and spring seems to have arrived (75 in Colorado Springs today, 80's this weekend!).
Good luck with the drive, hopefully the weather will cooperate.
Here's a picture I snapped of my C-Dory next to a Marinaut earlier this winter which might be interesting to some folks.

Retriever,
Thanks for the great picture. The Marinaut is more like a modified-V for the first half of the boat, but it gets its efficiency in the water from the reverse curve and raised strake on the stern, bottom, planning surface, which gives the hull quite a lift. Yet, when the water is rough, it is easy to keep that sharp bow down to cut through the waves. While the Marinaut may be a cousin of the C-Dory's, and is similar in its interior layout, its hull is of a much more radical design. We are very happy with the results.
