|
|
Hi all,
Due to a change in the completion date of the Rosborough RF-246 I'm picking up in Halifax the dates for my trip have changed.
I didn't want any of y'all wondering where I had disappeared to, or heavens forbid...to worry.
I'll be leaving on April 15th and will arrive in CT on the 19th. I'll deliver the M215 on the 20th, spend the night, then head to Halifax on the 21st and arrive on the 22nd. I'll pick the RF-246 on Monday the 23rd of April then head west to arrive back home on or about the 28th. So roughly, I'll be on the road about 2 weeks.
So...if anyone from about I-70 north would like to see the Marinaut 215 in person I'd be glad to stop and show it. I'm not ignoring the folks south of I-70 but on this trip it would add time and expense for a casual detour. But if you're south of I-70 and really are serious about seeing a Marinaut I'll see if we can make it happen.

Wow, you are packing in some serious miles/day.
Stay safe and watch out for a certain festival en-route that specializes in cooking (and eating) certain parts of a bull's anatomy. I think it was called "Technical Festival" or something like that

"Technical Festival"
I've heard of the entree, but not the "Celebration" thereof.

Joe,
Just shows how the memory fades (I am a whole year younger than you.)
Can't remember the name of the town but the Admirable and I were most amused to see the signs for the event posted along the highway. Being curious we stopped for lunch but probably ate vegetarian for once.
Anyway, at the speed Les is going he would be there before breakfast as it was in Montana.

Hi Merv,
I tend to do about 1,000/day when I'm "on the road" and not doing a pleasure trip. I don't really push it, if I get tired I just stop and take a nap and then stop for awhile at night. But if you're on the road by yourself you might as well drive, I'd rather do that then spend the evening in an overpriced beat up motel room.

Hi Brent,
I'll do that if it works out. I haven't set my final route yet but dropping down to Indy adds 100 miles but would get me off the northern toll roads and away from Chicago (never a bad thing). If I was on schedule it looks like I'd be in the Indy area on Wed (Apr 18th) around mid-day.

Les, Grumpy, and all:
Sorry to HiJack the thread, but it seems like a slow day around here, and a good way to liven up the topic, and, besides, Grumpy started it!
Have a great trip, Les, that's one beautiful and innovative boat ya' got there!

Hi Stefan,
Any M215 or a specific one? All the photos I have I've either posted on our website (in my sig) or on our Facebook page. I can take more if there's something in particular you'd like.

Hello Stefan,
The boat Les will be delivering is mine. Please check my album "C-Nile" for pictures of the Marinaut, too. My wife and I spent 20 straight days on the boat last year, and we really loved it. We tried to convey how we used the boat in those pictures. Please be sure to open the folders, too.

Hi Les and Rich,
Rich, I have seen all the pics of Betty Ann. Nice boat.
My mistake I assumed Les was delivering the beige one out east.
I followed the construction photos on Facebook of M1 and was hoping for pics of M2.
Les I know you are probably to busy to keep posting construction pics. and I am fine with that.
Anyway I will keep following the site, the M245 is exciting also.
All the best.
