Hi there, simple question here. i need to set up a solar panel rack system for my 2004 Angler 19 and I need to know the rail diameter of the cabin top hand rails. Ya, sounds strange but the boat is stored quite a long ways away and i want to take the parts with me to the boat. Can anyone tell me the diameter? Triton Marine said they are either 3/4" or 1". Apparently C-Dorys that were built during that time period had both depending on the boat length.

Thanks,
Moonular

Hello from Iowa,

Seeing your request, I went out and measured the top hand rails.
on our 2004, 19’, C-Dory Angler.

You will not believe this, but the hand rail measures 7/8” wide/diameter.

Regards,

Ron Fisher

They may have been thinking Bimini frame size.

Thank you for the info!

I will be using these slick "Split Jaw Mounts" from Gemini to attach my solar panel (bullet proof SC24w from Sunwize) to the cabin top hand rail. They provide for a "standoff" so you can still grab the handrails.

PS
I tried to post the picture here - will have to work out how to do it for future posts. I'll post a pic of the setup when its done.

Thanks again!
