I just got back from my first trip with the C-dory. We spent 4 days on Prince William sound and I've never seen such a long stretch of good weather there. There was never a time when we couldn't go as fast as we wanted and never a drop of rain. We got more halibut than we wanted and 12 lbs of shrimp tails. We also caught 2-40lb lings and a 150 lb salmon shark on a 1oz rockfish jig (well almost, he finally broke off right at the boat), saw lots of bears and all the other assorted critters. All in all a really great trip. The boat seemed to work as advertised but the bow sure rode high. I had lots of crap in the back but probably about the same as most folks have. I'll try to move a little weight forward but hopefully just get used to it. |

Boy that sounds like a great trip! I keep 100 feet of chain rode in the bow just to put some weight way up forward. Seems to help a bit. _________________ Tom on Otter |
