Has anyone one here experienced the ride of a 22 with a 90 E Tec and a permatrim? I just need encouragement to get over the fear of drilling the holes. Id like to achieve a better ride in the chop my boat doesn't have trim tabs. |

Lots of info on the site about CD22 ride with and w/o trim tabs. And permatrims too. Both will help, the engine doesn't matter. I put them on the TC, I have 115 Suzukis, it helped a lot getting up on plane at a lower speed.
Go drill it!

I have a mid-1990 Evinrude 90 two-stroke (pre E-Tec?) that I installed a permatrim on. Yes, it was scary drilling the holes but I have had it for 2+ years and all seems well.
Seems to help in the chop.
I do not have trim tabs either. |

Small world. I was the new construction officer on LY Spear when she was built at Supship Quincy (General Dynamics). I think it was around 1970-72 or so..

Any opinions on the Sting Ray Hydrofoils from www.marine-dynamics.com. A local merchant is selling off all their boating gear and the sting rays are $35.00 regularly $118.00. |
