Does anyone have a recommendation for a single handle mixer to replace the leaky, inconvenient dual twist-valve unit that came with my 25’ Cruiser?

Thanks,

SJH

Yes, I do, unfortunately I am on Maui right now and don't have the name and model number. HOWEVER, Pat on Daydream put the same one on his boat and I am sure he will provide the info.
Here is a picture of it.

The faucet also comes out and can be hand held.

We have the same type as David - it's a Moen; bought it a Lowes or Home Depot. You can replace it with pretty much any type. The pull out sprayer works good for washing hair, rinsing dishes, etc, etc.

The hardest part of replacing it is getting at it. It was easier for me to remove the sink to get at the plumbing.

Definitely a very worthwhile mod. No idea why the mfg would put that two handle faucet in other than price. You waste less water with the single handle.

Best wishes,

Thanks for the quick response. I'll keep looking for the match to your Moen unit since it seems to be a perfect size. Some of the other look a bit too long for a compact sink. If you happen to get the model number, please let me know.

Thanks,

I have an idea. It is spelled w-i-f-e. Rolling Eyes

We recently redid our master bath and I would have gone with the single hand faucets but decided to save my ammo for more important battles. Wink

Off subject, but we just redid our bathroom and went with single handle Kohler which is awesome.

Our C-Dory will definitely benefit from a single hand water-on capabilities. The old knobs were inconvenient, at best.

It's a Moen 87315C if you prefer the chrome finish. You'll need a couple of nylon adapters from pipe thread to 1/2" hose. And yes, taking the sink out makes it pretty easy. I remember Jim B calling me in the middle of his install Wink

I found a new Moen unit on Ebay otherwise, I believe it's been discontinued.
