Finally took the step and bought a generator. Actually my wife wanted it for the stand up a/c unit. We bought the 2000i. I do have the perfect place . to mount it. I bought a removeable table, leg, and mounting base from OVERTON'S. It is the Delmare Removeable Marine Rectangular Table Kit Item #29011.I plan to use two slide hinges mounted to the area in front of the motor well, and inbetween the fuel tanks. I will use 4 eye bolts with ratchet staps. I want to use it underway to cool the cabin. The a/c we bought is from SEARS and is rated at 850watts. We Thumbs Up tried using the a/c with and with out curtains. It worked great! Very Happy It froze use out and kept the cabin nice and cool. The a/c also has a heat setting,so we can go out when it gets cooler. Very Happy We Very Happy hope we will be able to use the boat year round. We also have the removeable decks in the cockpit. I plan to mount the table base to one. I wanted the removeable table because inbetween the tanks is where I keep my cleaning stuff NEAL

Sounds nice Neal, got pictures? What do you do with the exhaust, sounds like it's on the floor. Not too close to the gas tanks, I hope...

Is THIS the table? Not clear on how you will use it, so please post photos!

I do plan to use that table, and base, will be bolted to the removable decks.I will use the same type of hinges as the cabin table. I will then set the generator on top and use 2 ratchet straps with eye bolts through the table. I will not know for sure if my plan will work until I recieve the table and will then be able to check everything. I am in the planning stage. Smile I do plan to post pictures when I can. Thanks Neal

We've got the same generator and put it on top of a milk crate on the swim step. Exhaust heading backwards. Consider getting some padding of some sort... it will dampen vibrations and less noise.

We don't have A/C though...We use it to hook up the Christmas lights display for Christmas Ships on the Willamette River in Portland! Gotta start planning the display for this year- just over a month away now...
