Hey Tug, Would you mind.....This guy needs some serious help, and Sea Wolf Joe suggested I bring it (sort of), to this thread.
Joe, many thanks for the suggestion.

Boat Scum removal ? That's easy, I just ask Roger to get off....
Actually I use some sort of black streak remover that I buy at West Marine.... it works so well, and is not very expensive that I never have tried anything else.....
Coming back from Lake Powell the other day, I got stopped at the California Inspection Station....and they really gave my boat a good checking for that darn Quadra mussel.... I felt kinda bad for the guy as the bottom was really scummy...but no bi-valves attached...
They check the bilge, and have you lower your motor to make sure they are dry....

Byrdman you got me thinking about bottom paint again...think i will put some on next Spring/Summer.Was thinking on using ..InterProtect 2000E Epoxy Primer than Interlux Micron CSC as the bottom paint.I would prefer to use just an Epoxy Paint/Primer as a bottom paint for its hardness and osmosis protective quality but it seems that epoxy Primer paints alone have no UV protection...none that i can find anyway.Think i might mark off the water line with 3M Green Painters Tape..( if i can still see where it was ).. and do some bottom sanding before winter set it. ...Tug |
