Check the Forum site "Hull, Deck and Fittings". See the tread, "Bilge question-Where is the water coming from?" It pretty well describes the issue for the C-dory. _________________ Don't let the fear of tomorrow steal from the pleasure of today. |

Last year my 07 22 had water leaking down under the cockpit floor at the seal between the floor and the cabin. I saw bubbles coming up one day through standing water in that location. Cranked up the bow so the water would accumulate at the stern before sealing. Scrapped and chipped off most of the old sealer material and cleaned the surface with Acetone. I was going out that weekend so sealed it up with GOOP.
Then went in through the drain hole and drilled a plug size hole directly into the raised cockpit floor; about a half gallon of water came out. In that hole I installed a brass sleeve to except a standard drain plug
When the plug is removed now nothing but a small burst of air comes out, must have sealed it up pretty good. Been thinking about installing a vent tube.

Jay,
With today's sun, you might blow the seals in the deck. I would put the vent tube in tonight. _________________ Tom

Hay Tom,
No S--- maybe I will just leave the plug out in dry-dock; what is that shinny thing up in the ski? Taking the wife, her sister and a friend out to Perry tomorrow for berry picking. I’ll be braking in the new kicker and trying for silvers, should be a nice day.
Heard you guys chatting at the Disk last weekend, we were fishing off Crafton. Had my son and his buddy out, the horse play nearly sent me over the edge but made it through.
