I have the original 94 yamaha 90 horse on the back of the boat. Has run flawlessly for years until I ran out of gas and took some boat tow gas. It ran well for the remainder of the day (about 2 hours). The following day the boat started right up but would not go above 2700 RPMs. I changed the fuel filter, plugs and clean the little plastic fuel separator. I blew on the enter line ...where the gas goes into the engine. It blew back out which was fun. I have also drained two of the carbs but the third id hard to get to. I have yet to add more gas to the tank.
Do you think there is sediment that pulled up and clogged the jets?
Do you think I should just add a bunch of gas? Stabilizer?
Can I shoot carb cleaner through the screw hole that drains the carb?
Help, I am moving in a few days and need to get the boat winterized. |
