I am sure it has been covered but my supernatural search abilities seem to have failed me once again. Is there an adhesive that can be relied upon to securely glue star board to a gelcoated surface? I am most concerned about the "oily" star board as I have had good luck with 4200 and "roughed-up" gelcoat. Thanks for tolerating another of my questions.

No, Starboard is primarily designed for mechanical fastening only (screws, etc.) More HERE.

There are a few products that are reputed to be somewhat effective . This is from King Plastic's site . They make Starboard.

Hi Marc....I was just talking about you this morning with some boating friends......

What is the name of the boat line you sell with the flat fronts..small metal boats....Stumpbumper or something like that... I just could not remember the name...

If anyone is interested in bonding Starboard to Starboard, which is HDPE, or High Density Poly Ethylene, in composition, you can use this:


Loctite 3030 Speedbonder Adhesive Type: Polyolefin Bonder
