Roger,
We have our own hens and there really is a difference. Not just the color. Eggs from chickens allowed to forage have higher nutritional value, and lower cholesterol.
We are out in Carnation and the farmer's market is closed now but the best eggs there come from Growing Things Farm at the bottom of Novelty Hill along the Snoqualmie River. 425-788-0480 I think her eggs are for sale at PCC.
Michaele sells her free range eggs, roasting chickens, organic pork (delicious- just had some last weekend!) and organic vegetables at various other farmer's markets around town.
Customers can subscribe to her CSA weekly delivery subscription farm also.
Hope this helps.

Anita tells me there will be semi urban chickens in our back yard sometime before Christmas . Guess Ill be building a poultry condo soon ! It was a subtle hint . Funny thing is I love eggs and she just wants to play with the chickens . I guess thats a win /win !
