Any ideas on how to bend the forward part of a bunk board to form to the contour of the boat. |

If you are trying to make a long curved section, laminate up from thinner sections using epoxy just like building a stitch and tape hull.
If you are trying to obtain a curved edge to follow the hull as in a bulkhead get some large cardboard or foam core and "scribe" with an extended pencil compass to give you a cut line. The pattern should be vertical, measure the distance from far edge to hull and add to your final pattern.

Generally the C Dory hull is supported on its flat surfaces. Where do you want to bend the bunk board, and is support really necessary in this part of the hull?
Generally the bunk board can be thinner than the stiffer bunks aft, and the weight of the boat will allow it to take a set. You need to set the supports for the bunk board so that it will have enough give to take a curve. _________________ Bob Austin
