They sure look different (from each other). Doesn't say the 225's are "new" though. And they're $32,995. Each.

In an old C-Dory brochure, that I have from that era, shows both of those models as 26' ProAnglers.
My 2005 ProAngler is different yet from either one but also much newer. My friends 1994 26' ProAngler is exactly like mine except his motor is hanging on the transom in a cutout with a transom box inside the boat. Mine has the motors hanging on an Armstrong type bracket as do the two for sale.
I really do not understand how all of those different models came to be and still be called ProAnglers. _________________ On the HIGH TIDE-II, wife Carolyn and I.....Another summer fishing on the HIGH TIDE II in the Cook Inlet at Cape Ninilchik, Alaska.

WOW... nice... and I like the motor bracket set up too as to give all the cockpit space to the boat instead of to the motors and rigging gear. I like the back slanted pilot house windows too!!
Now, I wonder why when Jeff Messmer and Scot Reynolds brought the CD 25 back into action....why did they not bring these back?
After 3 years of getting told no.... I bought my Rosborough. A much different hull for sure, but I have a great big ol cockpit that I was after.
Interesting...as I did not even know these boats were out there. Guess they were built in the years that SERENITY and some of the first generation 25s were built.

Years ago I was at the C-Dory plant in Kent and viewed an older model C-Dory. My recall about the vessel is a bit "hazy", so I don't remember its' size, but I do remember that it had been built with an inboard engine.
Over the years C-Dory has constructed some very unique vessels that most likely only the "old timers" on this site remember seeing or hearing about. I do know that there was one C-Dory with a fly bridge that ended up in California, didn't sell and returned to the factory for some changes.
There are pictures somewhere on either this site or they were featured on the "old" site of the "fly bridge C-Dory". However, I don't recall if pictures were ever posted of the C-Dory with the inboard. (P.S. I'm not referring to the one of a kind C-Dory that also has an inboard that belongs to our C-Brat member that divides his time between Alaska and Africa.....sorry I can't remember his name at this moment).
There is also an older model C-Dory in the Edmonds Marina and that could possibly be a 26'. Perhaps one of our members that have slips in the Edmonds Marina can enlighten us on it. (It is in a covered slip). _________________ Dave S.

I am fairly sure I fished a charter out of one of these (the 1991 model) several years back 03 or 04. Nice boat, lots of room, but it was pretty used up when I was on it. Looked like it had been a charter boat for a long time.
Good looking boat though.

And the people said.....
A M E N !!
Thanks guys...
Now, not to sure how long you have to be a member before you are considered an old timer.... particuarly being from the east side.... but there were many years the Tolands just kept these jewels over there in the NW corner... then....they spread a bit later.
Guess I saw my first one somewhere in the 91-92 time frame... I am trying to link it to an assignment location.... I have it located back to a Sergeant Major who was just about as crazy about boats as I am.... but I am not sure if we were in the we work together mode....had worked together in the past mode...or, would be working together again mode. We both transfered around a bit.... and those days are fuzzy at best.
First one I bought was a 16 Cruiser, up the beach a bit near Daytona. The military had me in one of those touchy-feely 3 week classes...right on the beach in the Coco Beach FL area... and I drove up on a weekend and bought the boat, had to fly home, drive over and back with tow vehicle from AL to Daytona area... Then the next one was Dusty's TC24 that had the year before been in the doorway as your enter the Seattle Boat show... Man,, these boats have brought me many good friends and many good times.....even if the touchy-feely course did not stick.
Was part of the old C-Dog group....but, I think I fit the C-Brat mode a bit better...as do most of us on here....who like all of their statements and coments to stay posted...as posted...and not cut all up or deleted all together. What fun was that???
Thanks guys...

Big Mac,
I'm also unable to locate the picture of the C-Dory with the Flybridge. I even tried google enhanced search, but no luck.
Perhaps when Da Nag sees this he can repost it. If I'm not mistaken he posted the original pictures of it because a dealer in California had it on the lot for quite some time. |

I always thought that the boat I purchased in Fla. this spring was the very same flybridge boat in those pictures. Mine is exactly like it including the ladder up the stbd. side (totally useless)of the rear cabin, the two flat spots on the cabin top where those two round bases are attached and the enclosed transom ready for a motor bracket.
But........there is no evidence on mine of a flybridge ever being attached or those other do-dads on the cabin roof. Also in pic. #6 the switch panel on the dash is on the port side vertically and mine is on the stbd. side horizontally.
Does anyone know what happened to the flybridge boat???
As the story goes........my boat was the one unsold one of a bunch made and sold to a charter business in S.E. Alaska in 2005. It is also the last 26' made, hull no. 21 of 21. My boat has a factory installed 2002 Honda 200hp (a left over model at the time) on my 2005 boat.
It was sent to Three Rivers Marine in Fla. They could not sell it there and they had it for at least 2 yrs. I tried to buy it 3 yrs. ago but could not come to an agreement on price. They did eventually sell it with 40 hrs. on it but the owner apparently missed too many payments and it was repossessed with 139 hrs. on it. The bank sold it to a dealer in W. Palm Beach, Fla. and they put it on E-Bay. That is where I bought it in April and towed it to Alaska.
Apparently it was used as a dive boat as I found a bag full of divers weights in it as well as 4 heavy (25 lbs.)zincs. Anyone need weights or zincs????
If anyone knows anymore info on my boat or thinks my info is baloney please let me know.
Thanks,
Jack |
