Does anyone have any thoughts on stability with two kayaks loaded on top of the cabin? I have a 22ft Cruiser with a 90 hp Suzuki. I installed a Yakima rack and I want to carry a double and single plastic kayaks. I estimate rack plus kayaks weigh about 130 lbs.

130 lbs will have minimal impact on the stability of a 22. The only real impact will be the extra windage making it perhaps a little more difficult to dock in a side wind. So, bottom line, I wouldn't worry about it.

Glad to hear that, Roger. I'm planning on making a kayak mount for our two 10-foot recreational kayaks. I couldn't imagine the weight being a problem, but hadn't thunk about the windage issue. It'll be worth it, wind or not, for my wife and I to have a way to explore together or get space.

Thanks.

just finished building a rack on top of our 22 to hold two pamlico 10' kayaks, each weighing 43 pounds, i figure the whole set up is about 100 pounds, i'll find out tomorrow how it does....
