Just wanted pass on some info on this little gem. It's the Sunbeam Hot Shot. It was less than 20 bucks at WalMart. We've had it for a while so we can't remember the exact cost. We use it all the time when plugged in to shore power. Our inverter is only a 750 watt and will not run it. Anyway, it's a great little gizmo when you want a cup of hot tea, cocoa or instant coffee. Just fill it from the top, press the button, and 90 seconds later you're good to go. Press the dispenser tab and it fills your cup. It ain't fancy, but it works great.

Long long time ago they were the Oster Hot Shot. Repaired a bunch of them when I use to work for Sunbeam 1976 About. I had one on my work bench I used all the time.

We use something like that called a "Cup at a Time" that is also a coffee maker... leave out the grounds and it'll heat water for hot chocolate, tea... or even to heat up some water to shave with. Handy when we have shore power.

I have an MSR Reactor backpacking stove that boils a liter of water in about 2 minutes. It's pricey at about $130 but it works great and doesn't require electricity.
