Seems I have a small tumor on my lung (size of a quarter) along with the mass in my spine at the base of my neck....biopsy and more photo ops upcoming and they'll figure out what to do to treat it.

We're outa here as soon as they've had their way with the "C" and North to Alaska! Wink

You have both Jo-Lee and my stomach's doing flip flops, so hard to imagine being in your shoes. No platitudes from us cause we know all to well bad things happen to good people. Life for sure isn't always fair you can only play the hand your dealt the best you can. Hoping the best possible outcome for you Caty and yes then off to Alaska.

Attitude seems to be a big part of overcoming obstacles like you have and you seem to have the right attitude for doing so.

We've survived a few days at OHSU (biopsy completed Monday this week) and today, we're off for my first appointment with the oncologist...this one should be an informative appointment...I'm set...ready and wanna get movin! Smile

We're set for Friday morning for my first cocktail of chemo. The diagnosis was non-small cell carcinoma lung cancer, Stage IV -- will learn more about THAT when we go in Friday Wink

We've made our bucket list -- and it will include any Brat gatherings we can muster ourselves to Smile

Of course, it also includes trips to Alaska, various points in California, Nevada, Colorado, Wyoming, Tennessee and probably a southern route across the US, since I've never seen that!....So we'll undoubtedly see some parts of Texas (never been there)

We wish you success and ease with your upcoming treatments. My Mother is a survivor of lung cancer (14 years now). Attitude is so important, and yours is magnificent. We admire and enjoy your posts on this forum and look forward to an in-person hug when we meet.

Regarding a "bucket list": No one ever knows how many days they get on this earth. Please know that you have the power and spirit of hundreds of Brats on your side.

I"m pulling for you too Caty. I haven't met you other than through this site, but any women/girl who fishes is A#1 in my book! When the chemo is over, get yourself an electric reel and keep on fishin!
