I used to have a 16' Angler (acquired last spring by TrebleHook Tim) which in a former lifetime was a harbor patrol boat in Emeryville, CA. When I got it, it had a sturdy tow bar attached to the stern and gunwales to elevate the lines to prevent any conflicts with the outboard. I keep thinking I'll figure out a good use for it, but am about to give up and haul it to the dump. Then it occurred to me that someone here might put it to good use.
Any takers? I'm in the Tacoma, WA area, and the price is right, I guarantee! |

Sounds interesting...
Do you have any pics of the contraption, either on or off the boat? And can it be broken down for shipping? _________________ -Rod

Hi, I live in the E. Bay and might be very interested in your tow bar for Squidward, do you have a pic or is it somewhere I can see it? Thanks! Mark |

I don't think it could be broken down for shipping. I suppose I could just saw it in half, to be welded back together on your end. I'll try to get a photo soon. It's dark by the time I get home, but maybe I can get one in the morning. Then I'll just have to figure out how to post it! |

Finally here are some pictures. Looks like the bollard ends up into the pit somewhat, with the rail over the outboard.

Naw, that ain't ugly! A quick shot with a sandblaster, some LPS Cold Galvanize as a primer, paint it whatever color you want, and it's good as new. It looks like a lot of thought and effort went into making the thing. To have it fabbed out of stainless would be several hundred bucks, for sure. _________________ TyBoo Mike

Nothing new to say, except that I thought I'd post one more message just to move this subject to the top of the list in the hope that someone will take an interest. Last call!!! |
