Has anybody noticed how hot the flexible exhaust pipe under the Wallas Stove gets? The other day I was trying to organize a storage system of plastic containers under the galley sink and bumped the hose with my hand and burned myself. I know you're wondering what the stove is doing on in dry dock. Well it was in the high 30's that day. Anyway, has anyone done anything about shielding that pipe so it doesn't accidentally come in contact with stuff stored under there that might have shifted. I'm trying to use up all available storage space, but don't want to create a fire hazard.

P.S. Yuk, it's starting to snow right now. Crying or Very sad

You can get a tube of fiberglass insulation that slips over the exhaust tube to insulate it. Pat on Daydream has a piece to put on. Someone at Cornet Bay had found it for him. I need to do the same. You will have to disconnect the tube from the bulkhead fitting to slip it on. Someone will volunteer who it was and where to get it.

It was Fred on Anita Marie who found it, I expect he will chime in with where he found it...maybe Scan Marine in Bellevue?

The insulation that I got for Pat is from Scan Marine. I used it on my last boat and it worked well. It is $5.00 a foot but you only need 3 feet. It should mitegate a lot of the heat problems under the cabinet.
