Hi all,

We have a Ranger 25 in the water available to demo for anyone who wants a truly enjoyable experience.

I checked our boat (cummins 150 hp diesel) performance against the published specs on the www.rangertugs.com site and found that they are indeed accurate.

22 knots top end is very impressive and the boat performance in a sizable chop and beam seaway is top notch for this size vessel......much more comfortable than one would assume.

best regards,

Just curious -- what are the gph figures for various speeds?

Warren

hi,

The new cummins engines come with an lcd display which computes gph for each speed setting, tankage, fuel range, etc. However, since we just launched her yesterday, we have not calibrated the unit and would be wary of announcing any numbers until we have.

i will post that data asap. With the yanmar engines, it will have to be done the old fashioned way by dividing gallons burned into miles traveled between fuel docks......although there are after market fuel flow gauges that may be installed on any vessel.

Remember , results may vary ! The performance of any diesel motor will be affected by heat , water temp, salinity and humidity and loading . I have requested that information be added to this Cummins sponsored performance report .If any one has specific questions regarding Yanmar performance , we have extensive experience with the Yanmar powered Ranger Tugs and will be happy to answer any inquiries to the best of our abilities .
