|
|
We have a new 22 on order and I have a few questions about the electronics. I bought the following from matt_unique (great service, great price!):
-Raymarine C80
-Raymarine 125 GPS sensor
-Raymarine RD218 Radar
-Icom M422 VHF
-KVH Azimuth 1000
-Huminbird HDR610 depth sounder
-Shakespearre 5225XT VHF antenna
Master Marine (my dealer) will be doing the installation. Is there anything else I need to ensure that the KVH compass and Icom VHF will interface with the C80 properly? Also, the boat will have the Honda 90 EFI. Will I be able to see engine data on the C80 display?
Thanks a lot! |

Thanks for the kind words!
I'm nearly finished with the install of my Furuno electronics. The only thing I have left to do is to snake/hide the wires inside the cabin and connect my DSC radio to the chartplotter.
The only non-obvious recommendation I have is to ensure your dealer overdrills/undercuts/uses epoxy paste to seal any and all holes through your roof if you are having them do that work. As we know our balsa cores do not like water!
Good luck and let me know how it all comes out.

20dauntless, please post here whether Master Marine does this because that is where I bought my boat -- although in my case the radar arch came from the factory and the electronics were installed by Anacortes Marine Electronics.
Thanks,
