Leaving this morning for Palm Beach. Bud, My old fishing buddy, for many years,is going with me. No dog to take ashore. Looks like a good weather window is coming up about Friday. Hope to stay about 6 weeks.

Can only post on this site in a couple of places in the Abacos, but will keep you all informed . I am going to keep a good track of fuel , time and expenses, and will post same.

For starters we have spent about $400 for groceries and beer, wine and gin. Expect about that much more for fuel to get to Palm Beach and fill the boat. I would expect to fill the boat over in the Abacos at least once. I am pretty sure it will run over $5.00 a gal over there. ( gas being $5.15 a gal ) Sooo...... how about $500 to $600 more. Just for giggles and grins i am going to guess it will cost about $2000 for the whole trip. I don't think that is to bad for spending a month and a half in a fun place. In fact it cost more than that just parked in Florida doing nothing.

Only being tacky talking about money so others may decide, Heck thats not to bad and decide to go too. The more the merrier for a trip like this.

Maybe able to post in Palm Beach, if so I will post how the weather window looks and when we will go out and see personally what the seas look like. I use the radio to talk to someone that is out in the stream to inform me of conditions before we go.
Later

Good luck on your trip. You might try the Exuma Marine Park. It was a wonderful place to snorkel, find out about the marine life, and meet cruisers.

Hello Capt Darrel and Miss D
I too am jealous of your trip and know that you will have a great time. Feel free to ease on down to Boca Raton if you have the time as I am not leaving here until the end of April.
If not, I will catch up with you this summer in Montana. In fact, I am running up there April 7th for the week but will be in White Sulphur Springs most of the summer.
All best wishes,
Bob
