Transom cracks when purchased. Followed general proceedures from members. bolts sticking out slightly are from the (removed) kicker mount.

After determining that transom was still solid, and after several dry months in the CA sun, pryed open a bit and poured in 2part slow cure epoxy and clamped as best possible until cured. Then added a couple layers of FG and mat for a new cap.

After 2.5 years, I have not noticed any transom problems yet, and I have not done any sizeable work on the new cap other than paint. Certainly hope that I didn't seal in any moisture.
