Wonderful! It looks like it was built by elves!

The complete package of cabin and setting is fabulouly unigue and beautiful. To me only a stone building on Yellowstone Lake built about the same time is comparable.

Absolutely utterly fantastic! We love river rock but this is taking it to a totally new level. We couldn't even begin to duplicate.

I just keep going back to these pictures and what a truly beautiful cabin you have. I'm currently building a guest house on my property and yours has given me some really neat ideas and inspiration. I love what appears to be a relief carving in this photo

Thanks for your comments. We feel like we are the keepers for the Cottage. We love it and have plans to retire to it (all 500 sq ft) someday. Let me know if you want to see any more pictures to help with your project - we have many more.

Thanks for adding photos of this wonderful work of art. I can imagine a elf looking type person working on this cabin...what skill, what endurance, but most of all, what love he had for nature, craftsmanship and his family. I cannot imagine why they let it go. It is a treasure.

All the door hardware was handmade by the same gentleman.

Wow I gotta say again what beautiful craftsmanship. How could hte owner sell it? Did he pass away?

The guy that built the Cottage passed away in the 1960's. He was a prominent architect in the Green Bay area. His family owned it for a number of years, but for some reason sold it.

We saw it in the paper on Sunday, drove up on Monday and put in an offer over the asking price within a hour of seeing it. The price basically was the cost of the 100ft of waterfront frontage - Cottage was basically free.

We have many people stop by to look at the Cottage that their parents used to take them past as kids - they call it the "Snow White" Cottage.

I can't imagine selling something like that. You certainly have a treasure in it.
