Orange chain installed after the Kingfisher II incident. More recently, added a chain binder to keep chain taut.
Hopefully it would keep boat from flying forward in a frontal accident.

couldn't younuse some sort of transom tie down strap to keep boat from flying forward?

Boat has the usual transom tie down straps. This is extra insurance, and stronger.

Bow eye has been reinforced with 10" square of Dura Guard and 4x6" steel plate.
