Put 2 pad eyes on each side of the cockpit so I can bungee the chairs off to the side. I do need to get proper stainless hardware though.

I had added those red LED cockpit lights awhile back, which I love, but the power switch is its own circuit on the main panel. So, today I added this supposedly, waterproof button in the cockpit. Now, as long as the circuit is on, I can turn the cockpit lights on and off from the comfort of my deck chair.

Since none of this stuff had been touched for the past 31 years, and I was getting a tiny bit of water seepage from the cockpit to the cabin, I decided to recaulk the deck/bulkhead seam. While I was at it i figured I may as well over-drill and epoxy fill the screw holes for the bilge pump and and pump cover.

Old caulk cut and picked out of the seam. Brushed, vacuumed, wiped with acetone and taped off. Recaulked with 3M 4000 UV.

When I was at Powell back in May my biggest peeve was cleaning the cockpit sole every night. It seems it was always wet and dirty and getting tracked all over inside the cabin.

Todays little project was to add jam/clamshell cleats to the cockpit to secure our forward docklines.

I was using a single line and it always seemed to be in the wrong place, or on the wrong side when needed. Now I'll have a line on each side running to the forward cleat and they can just stay attached when we're out on the boat.
