Had planned to head straight to customs at Bedwell (S. Pender I.), but fog kept us out of Boundary Pass for a bit. Took the longer route to wait for it to burn off.

That's a nice route to Nanaimo. And those ships pass thru Boundary Pass faster than they look, so good call waiting out the fog!

D3-18 Trail to Trappers Cabin

This trail is posted as dangerous. People have died taking it. Only the liberal use of red ties helps one to find their way. We took it on a fairly dry day, but it is still quite strenuous. We are in good shape, but our legs were fairly rubbery by the time we returned.

Hike not recommended, but view was worth it. Be careful coming down. I could have easily caught a foot in a root or slipped on a rock and broken something.
