Driving in on the "gravel" road to Fair Harbour we saw the prior evening's lightning strikes, mostly on the tops of the peaks.

This guy was guarding the entrance to Petroglyph Cove when we stayed there and every time we went past.

I'm not convinced that Petroglyph Cove ever had petroglyphs. There are some reddish stains (which could indicate obscured pictographs), but there are all kinds of mineral stains on the overhang.

Rugged Point Cove viewed from the "inside." The tide was high, so we used our bungie cord anchor to keep us off of the beach.

The walk to the "outside" of Rugged Point was partially on a boardwalk though some interesting trees.

Extremely calm and deserted.

This is the "surf" from the Pacific swell. I found a sand dollar, but being as it was Canadian, it was really only 78 cents.

The water was surprisingly warm, although warm is relative. Out on the horizon are the islands that we fished several days later.

Our anchorage in False Gay Passage was exposed to the SW, but it was so calm that we took a chance.

These trees show that it isn't always calm from the SW. A lot of them were bent and groomed from the wind.
