Because the helm is up on the flying bridge (along with another captain's chair and a setee), the entire cabin and cockpit seem much larger without the helm taking up space down there. Plus you can ride several folks up on top, which adds six feet of deck space to the boat.

Those engines look awefully close together. How hard is it to get to the block drains for winterization? Spark plugs?
