Launching pants.  Sounds kind of lurid.  The idea was to have something to slip on over pants and socks, put on Crocs, and not worry about going over boot tops when launching.

This is my pattern (made out of an old sheet) on top of the waterproof material.  The material is left over from making dry bags from my kayaking days.

This is what the cutout looks like and gives an idea of how much material is needed.  Probably a yard and a half, which might be about $20.

Then they are ironed together forming about a 1/2 inch seam, which is then trimmed.

Rolled up and stuffed inside the Crocs they take up less room than a pair of boots.   The material drys really fast after rinsing off the salt.
