The original seats were Sunbrella over flat foam over a piece of plywood. After a few years, they feel like Sunbrella over plywood. The widest part of the original seats was at the aluminum hinge right at the bottom, causing my pilot seat to interfere with the throttle when I rotated the seat.

The width of the original seat hit the throttle at the bottom and the back of the seat hit the cabin side. Also, although the original seat was shorter, the back thickness and angle interfered with the wheel when turned 180, requiring the seat to be more upright if turned around.

Both seats fold down, but here you can get an idea of how the Attwood seat is narrow at the "corners," i.e., right where it needs to be in order to miss the controls. No sharp hinge edges now. You can also see that it sits several inches higher because it has an internal 3" spring suspension.

Some online reviews said the Attwood seat was too upright. So I tried it with a couple of two degree composite shims (which I liked).
