I added these little cheeks to my bow roller so that my lightweight Guardian anchor was far enough out to self launch.

Wish I had thought of that. Have the same problem. Thought of several cures, all to complicated to try. This is so simple and straight forward. Thanks for the solution to a common problem.


 

But my main anchor is now the smallest Vulcan. It launches and retrieves great, but without chain it is a little hard to set.

I now see why you don't want to use chain. 2 bends with pulleys, cam cleat and no good storage. I imagine there's a process for setting your anchor.

Same problem with my Delta not self-launching. I will give this a try. The rest is a great idea for controlling the anchor from the helm.
