This poor guy miscalculated a bit on the current depth and the tide change before he tossed out his anchor. This is what he woke up to. But he had a great sense of humor as we passed by.

Fitzgibbon Cove in Misty Fjords. We had the whole cove to ourselves and when we left in the morning, we traveled all day ... about 40 miles ... without seeing another boat, another human, or anything manmade.

Punchbowl Cove in Misty Fjords National Monument. Granite cliffs 3000 feet tall plunge into water 1000 feet deep. We tied to a mooring buoy, kayaked to shore and then hiked an amazingly difficult trail to some gorgeous waterfalls. Life is good. A few hours after we returned to the boat, there was a big brown bear on this same beach.

Baranof Warm Springs. Very clean, new tubs at the bath house. We are warmer (and cleaner) than we have been in three months!)

The first brown bear we saw on this trip to AK. And he CHARGED through the fog at us! Exciting to say the least! (Red Bluff Bay)

Our boat at the old Thompson Harbor In Sitka. It\'s the one to the left of the old anchor (no, not the red one). We are almost always the smallest boat cruising SE Alaska! The smaller the boat, the bigger the adventure!

The Highliner Lodge in Pelican seems to be a great place to go for a fishing adventure. The halibut and salmon photos were from their charters. They were cleaning fish and packing 100's of pounds of filets in boxes to ship via float plane back with their guests.
