Almost current version of my electrical system in the starboard lazarette (next drawing has corrected slight mistake with the way the start ground wire was drawn). Thanks to AK Angler for the drawing. (I'm leaving all of the iterations in the album since they are referred to in various posts and I don't want to break the links.)

Note that the negative buss is not shown because it adds clutter to the drawing.

This is the gauge part of the Victron BMV-602S battery monitor. It "wires in" with a simple click of a Cat-5 type cable end. I was installing this "on the road," without access to a lot of tools, and there was a left over hole here from where the Wallas control used to be. So I decided to put it here initially and see how I liked it. I just bought a blank outlet cover from a hardware store and cut it to fit the gauge. This allowed me to make the best use of the existing hole.

Now that I have used it for awhile, I think I would like to have it at the helm, so I can also easily view it underway, so it's on my to-do list when I next have access to tools/vacuum/etc.

As they say: Pardon the construction mess while we improve the premises! Another C-Brat wanted to see a few detail photos, but I happen to be in the middle of doing some work in this locker, so ties and clamps are off, wires are dangling, and certain improvements have yet to be made. It's not my lazarette's best moment ;)

Overview of how Group 31 house battery (blue) and smaller start battery (yellow) fit in starboard lazarette.

Fiberglass angles work as cleats. Weld Mount footman loops adhered to them hold battery straps. Angles are fastened to laz shelf with machine screws tapped into epoxy plugs in cored shelf.

Looking straight up from below laz shelf at bottom of shelf, this is the bottom of a stainless bracket plus Starboard-pad-you-cannot-see that keeps battery from being able to shift to port. This is on the opposite end to the Starboard cleat in previous photo - see note on previous photo.
