Is this in addition to a selctor switch? If so where did you get it, its been a concern of mine that I would drain both batteries.

Very nice neat job of wiring and installation. Sure makes a huge difference. That wiring job puts you into the "Pro" class.

May I ask how this held up over time? The single piece of rope, even snugged up tight and riding in grooves, seems like it might have been unstable? I love the idea. and would like to replicate it. Any improvements you'd make now, or would you leave it as is?
