Hard part was drilling through the S/S plate. Ruined two 3/8" bits and my step bit, but it's done. Forgot how hard S/S can be...

Our bolts were long too. I got a shorter set of hex heads from Tacoma screw and just swapped them out a bit later. I was worried about dragging something past those ends as well.

Yep, they do extend out way too much. My plan was to see if the unit needed to be angled slightly, like you said, and go from there. Just fired it up yesterday and all seemed to work.
