Cable ferries are something to be considered in a boat. Always contact them via VHF radio on channel 16. The cable is up high if you cross in front of them. Crossing either behind them or when they are loaded is strongly recommended. Hitting the cable will not be a good thing for your boat. They also sport red and green lights in each direction on the shore

Got down ok unhooked. Will take a land cruise over to Prince Edward Island for a few days and launch here August 1st. I'm worried about the transition from the flat area to the steep ramp section might have the tongue of the trailer dragging. Will-C

After coming down this driveway I had to launch here. I don't think pulling the boat back up around the corners would have been possible even with four wheel drive as it is gravel and steeper than this picture looks the switchback is at the top of the picture and goes sharply to the left. I think a two wheel drive truck might have trouble getting out with out a boat and trailer
