 NORO LIM Inside Passage, 2011
Inside Passage 2011 258 - Southbound, Dry Strait. The charts here are unreliable. The blue deeper water path shown bending East (left) away from Blaquiere Point was choked with silt from the Stikine. Best course around Blaquiere Pt favored the shore line of Mitkof a little more closely than the chart would indicate. This trip was done on the last couple of hours of an incoming 13 foot tide.

We took this route once....never again. We were sucking mud a few times. Glad we did it once though.

It was a little tense, but we always had at least a foot of water beneath the skeg. If I ever do it again, it will be on the last two hours of an incoming tide with a high of at least 16 feet. I'm also glad I did it - now I've circumnavigated both Mitkof and Kupreanof.
