Sliding seat in new position.
A lumbar pillow is nice to use here. We often sit on a PFD cushion for a better look-out/view. Not pictured here, I added a snap under the table and a small strap snaps into it and then snaps onto the existing cushion snap. This hold the back-rest cushion in place.

This worked really well. Everything mounted up in the boat perfect and this simple design does the job without complex hardware.

The Plastic "T" (made from cutting board) bolts down to/thru the floor. This keeps the seat box attached to the boat. Slide bolts hold the box in position, forward/aft side to side. A wood tray/cap goes over the "T", so it does not get in the way of gear storage. Or, if there is a drawer, the drawer will glide over the it. This system workes really well and is very simple to build.

Most of the seat was recycled from the original seat box. Front, side and bottom panels were added along with the floor/deck. All painted to match.

I started to build a drawer but did not like the loss of storage space. There is a lot of space in here. The base panel sits inside on little feet that raises it up above the
T-Track.

A hole was drilled thru the "L" bracket and a bolt with knob is used to hold things in place. This single bolt is really just a pin and is held in place by Velcro. It keeps everything in place very snug when the table is up folded down as pictured.

Note: The storage hatch cover Hinge was moved to the left so the box can slide back and a tab was added inside the hatch to support the lid. Also, I used some left over latch parts on the floor, this keeps the table leg from sliding backward. Also added a pad on the leg for the table to rest against.

Open storage under foot. I used porch paint and a clear coat on the raised floor decking. It's held up good after 2 seasons.
