My bucktail tipped with a strip of mackeral came right out but someone previous to me had a swivel break off with a long section of wire and this guy was gut hooked cut wire as short as possible and released

20 # pound test 1 oz bucktail with trailer hook slipped on the rear of the bucktail. Just add long strip of mackeral. Bluefish are notorious tail biters the second trailer hook is where they end up most all the time.

I usually stand mackeral straight up shave strip baits off two fish string up whats left and hang them along side the boat putting the baited bucktail right in the slick created by the two skinny ones teathered to the boat. Like taking candy from a baby.
