(Valkyrie) Forward window screen attaches with snaps. A similar screen was made for the forward hatch over the v-berth.

How effective are these screens at keeping out mosquitoes? We've boated on the Great Lakes and found mosquitoes very persistent in getting in.

Extremely effective! A trick that always helps with screens in a boat, camper and so on: in early evening spray a little insect repellent on the screens. We boat on Lake Erie, but I understand that some of the Lake Superior their three pound bugs can charge the screen and pop off the snaps!
