A shore visit. On charts this is "New Vancouver," however I was told by a First Nations resident that New Vancouver is the "government name." The real name is Tsa̱dzis'nukwa̱me. Say that fast three times.

We had a tour of the longhouse by one of the watchmen (actually a watchwoman). The totem is a memorial to her sister.

The north beach was littered with abalone shell. I would rate the trail as a "double black diamond."
