Final prep shows void in non marine plywood. The top layer of glass was only about 1/8 to 3/16 " thick. No rot or moisture in the core--but note that the wood in the transom ends before the top of the transom, and at the left side of the photo, instead of being carried all of the way to the side of the transom. In other words the poorly laminated spash well molding is taking a lot of the load of the engine thrust, instead of the sides of the hull.

Interesting the number of plys in that plywood. I forget how many layers are in the piece of marine ply I have outside, but I think it's more than the five I think I can count here.
