Did you ever figure out a way to insulate this. I was figuring on doing the same thing.

drill 3/8" holes in the upper corners, make sure the bottom is sealed off with cardboard or something similar, and pour in 2-part foam. Works great. Just be careful how much. That stuff has incredible power when it expands during the pour.

Looks like the easy way to fix. Wish I had thought of that.

This is good idea. I've been trying to figure out what to do with all that extra VHF wire!

Well done! I could nap there. :)
Great photos of your improvement projects. I hope to use a lot of your ideas.

?? Would the temp be more accurate if the sending unit was forward on the bulkhead wall, rather than on the outside, hull wall??
From: hardee (hardee) Sat Jul 28 00:39:15 2018
Or, as I use my remote sensor, in the cooler, or in my case the storage space under the forward passenger seat, port side, measuring the hull temp an inch above the water. (PNW temps there are close to 50'F.)

2004 Ford F150 V8 that hauls Swee Pea. This decal has been on for over 5 years. Still looks new.

This was the original logo of the Sea Dogs. This has been on my boat for over 10 years and still looks new.

Never thought I would cut a hole and put an AC on the roof. I didn't. Mobile East Marine did and did a fantastic job in and out.
