Great Picture! Would look good on next year's C-Brat Calendar!

I was just about to add a comment saying the same. Get me a high res version and I promise to use it.

Sorry, everything I took was in low/med resolution to save space on the camera...

For anyone not aware of what "weed anchoring" is, these are floating plants on the edge of the river. Still several feet of water under them. You just slide your boat in, keeping your outboard in clear water. Not a permanent anchorage for overnight, but great for a short rest stop!

Nice, especially with the C-Dorys in the background. Harvey/SleepyC

It's actually a harmless banded water snake.

Actually, nothing to do with the gathering, other than the long drive back home afterwards!

Last night on the road back home. Too damn cold to boatercamp in central Illinois, so hotel it is. (Those spots are snow falling...)

That looks a lot like Dr. Bob, Marie and Miss Angel.
Nice photo...

Built in 1954 in San Mateo, California. Keel laid as the M.V. Carquinez. Served in Cali until the mid sixties when she came through the Panama Canal where she became apart or the history if Mayport for nearly 50 years serving along side the M.V. Norfolk County (Buccaneer).

Sailing under the name Blackbeard. The Carquinez served North Florida gallantly, decommissioned and sent to Green Cove Springs only to fly out of the ashes with a fitting name, The Noble Phoenix!!!

She is 507 gross tons, and 185 feet long.
