 Sierra
Sequoia our previous R25SC, anchored in the Sea of Cortez 2017 (we sold her mostly because, huge to tow and launch, a lot of lakes don't have diesel and major maintenance headaches, love our C-dory)

We had an R29, now a 22 Cruiser. Love our C-Dory!

This 23 foot high antenna is for the SSB/Ham radio transceiver(see photo nearby), the top 2 sections are dismounted when traveling at speed. There are other options but for me this is the tried and true antenna solution and is the one we had on our Ranger Tug.

WOW, Cool sky scratcher. Sounds like it is connected to a very useful instrument. Would like to know more. Harvey/SleepyC

It is an Icom 706 ham and marine Single Side Band transceiver. See it in a nearby photo.

It was discontinued because it contained selenium in some parts.we got it like new on Ebay and Gordon West optimized it for us.

It is very powerful for it's size and is mostly used by Ham RVers. It needs an auto-tuner 140 box to tune the antenna for different frequencies.

Your skills with boat improvements leave me stunned. BRAVO.

Felt spacer dots for the solar panel air gap, placed with a dab of silicone along side on the panel backing between the silicon wafers.

Wouldn't you want a rubber or plastic spacer? Something that is not absorbent. Just my thought.

From: Micahbigsur@msn.com (Micahbigsur@msn.com)  Thu Jun 25 11:30:36 2020
That might be better but these are only used to hold the spacing while the multiple silicone dots I put in between set up. The dots being wet won't affect the panel.
