Herre's the inside of the Honda gas cap, showing the bushing, inner washer, and original cap gasket. The cap must be drilled out to accept the elbow's threaded fitting from the top, which fits into the bushing below. There is a neoprene washer on either side of the plastic cap, and the inside still has the original gasket, although it must have an opening cut into it large enough for the brass fittings. It's cheaper to buy a similar gas cap for a Honda[ mower than to buy another generator gas cap, as your're going to discard the more complex inner workings of the generator's cap. delete comment] [delete comment]
