 PVC Kayak Rack
The rack is desined to keep the kayak parallel to the boat. By doing so the stern does not wear on the bimini, nor does the kayak act like a parachute and catch the wind.

The center bar between the 2 uprights is one within another, adding strength as well as allowing the outside one to roll freely as the kayak is moved into place.

I have since shortened the two upright lengths by 1/2. They were simply too tall and made it needlessly difficult to lift the kayak up and over. They are there to help keep the kayak in place and from sliding sideways. I secure the kayak with 2 ratchet straps. It does not move an inch.

The kayak weighs a total of 32 pounds, spread between the rack and radar dome. The bow section rests on the radar dome but does not touch the anchor light or VHF antenna.
